In 2022, the Arts on View Society received a grant for a project designed to contribute to the development of artists and the arts community in the CRD. The project supports our commitment to collaborate with musicians from many backgrounds, cultures and genres to create unique musical offerings that celebrate diversity.
We were proud to support Black History Month with a very special presentation on February 16th featuring author Esi Edugyan, with special musical guests Locrian Tones, a band with members of African And Caribbean descent whose cultures have played a huge part in nurturing and influencing their sounds.
In partnership with the Victoria Francophone Society, we welcomed Alexis Normand on March 16th. Alexis Normand is an author-composer-performer who strives to bring attention to the diversity of Francophone identities. Thank you for your support of the Arts on View Society, and our commitment to expand the diversity of our programming.
More performances are planned in 2023 – so the support of the CRD is making a difference! Thank you!
