Friday Jan. 3rd John Lee: Next Generation Jazz Collective. A group consisting of some of the finest young jazz musicians from Vancouver Island, paying homage to some of the greatest music arranged for sextet in jazz history.
Saturday Jan. 11th Kristina Helene & Shanna Dance: Tribute to Eva Cassidy, Carole King & Norah Jones Two talented local songbirds join together to create a magical night of music paying tribute to: Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, and Carole King. *Registration through Eventbrite.

**Monday Jan. 13th FACADE – Members of the Victoria Symphony return to Hermann’s Do not miss this unique opportunity to hear chamber music, with spoken word in this intimate setting. An evening of 1920’s, jazz-influenced chamber music – the complete Façade Entertainments by Sir William Walton with poetry by Dame Edith Sitwell. Special guests reciters Rebecca Hass and Robert Holliston conducted by Pacific Opera Victoria’s Artistic Director, Timothy Vernon. Also to be performed is the complete music from Bohuslav Martinů’s ballet La Revue de Cuisine and George Auric’s Suite from Malborough s’en va-t-en guerre! *Registration through Eventbrite.

**Thursday Jan. 16th The Yiddish Columbia State Orchestra Led by singer Marion Siegel the band has a big, brassy, swaggering sound they exploit to fullest, with their repertoire of fast danceable music. The band shifts eortlessly from the basic klezmer forms such as freylachs and bulgars to swing and jazz-influenced sounds, with shades of New Orleans style marching bands and even bluegrass thrown in.

Saturday, Jan. 18 David Vest Presents the Mystery of Memphis Slim This five-time winner of the Maple Blues Award for Piano Player of the Year, kicks o 2020 with a rocking good time! So why don’t we know more about Memphis Slim? DCI Vest and his Blue Detective squad will try to crack the case and unravel the mystery.

Tuesday, Jan. 21 Neody HD Quintet Led by Cuban tenor saxophonist Noedy Hechavarria Duharte, performing the music of Jerry Bergonzi and original compositions. Innovative jazz and a solid and breathless performance featuring Pablo Cardenas.
Wednesday, Jan. 22 Kelby MacNayr & Friends Kelby MacNayr features a rotation of the best jazz musicians on the west coast of Canada.

Pablo Cardenas is a pianist with the ability to play in a multitude of styles each with enthusiasm, skill and finesse, charisma and charm. Thursday, Jan 30 The Ashley Wey Trio: Vol. 2 Double feature Show Back by popular demand after her last sold out show, the Ashley Wey Trio is excited to bring to you the Vol. 2. Set one -Duke Ellington. Set two will feature her most recent original compositions.
