COVID — Guest Guidelines

We are excited to welcome you back to Hermann’s!

We ask that you practice physical distancing and comply with all venue signage and guidelines during your visit.

Working with Vancouver Island Health and WorkSafe BC, we are complying with all guidelines and requirements related to COVID-19. Here’s a quick overview of changes we’ve made to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests.

 

Entrance

We ask that tickets are pre-ordered/pre-paid so that guests can be efficiently checked in.

We have cleared our back hallway so that the doors can be used for airflow and as an additional exit way to prevent congestion.

 

Sanitation Protocols

High-touch surfaces and common areas such as door handles, counters and tables are being cleaned and disinfected regularly. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes for suspect surfaces are available throughout the venue.

Pre-ordering

To protect our staff and reduce interaction we ask that guests pre-order tickets and meals.

Waitstaff will not cruise the room for dishes or orders. Every table will have a flag to be used to let our wait staff know that you would like them to come to your table.

We encourage the use of debit cards for tap payment, but will accept all forms of payment.

Physical Distancing

We have installed plexiglass around the bar and service areas as well as constructing a hanging, removable barrier for the stage to be used by singers.

We have increased walkway areas and distanced tables by 6’6”. Tables and chairs may only be moved by staff prior to guest arrival to accommodate larger groups. All ticket sales will be made in groups of two or four to match the physically distanced floor-plan.

It’s important to maintain a physical distance of at least six (6) feet from other guests that are not part of your group, staff members, musicians and volunteers.

With so few people in the room it is actually quite easy to determine when you are safe to move around to the service areas or washroom as needs be.

Masks are welcome, especially for entrance and exit, but not mandatory. We have disposable masks available from the bar.

 

Employee Safety Procedures

All staff members and volunteers have signed an employee commitment to safety. This is to ensure that no one feels duress to attend work if they feel they are at risk of becoming infected or infecting others. Our safety plan work plan (12pp) details the changes we have made to keep our employees (and our guests) as safe as possible.

 

Guest Responsibilities

If you or someone you’re with feels sick, we ask that you respect the safety of others and stay home.
