I’m a Math tutor. I remember tutoring a grade 11 Sax player, who mentioned he would be going to Hermann’s with his dad to see a gig. Since I thought it was a bar, I was surprised, but later found out it was – and is – a multigenerational venue. What a great idea. We need Hermann’s. Not only is it a part of Victoria’s musical heritage, it’s an essential part of any up and coming jazz musician’s education, as well as a great place to go for a night out. Cuban Jazz, World Music, Big Band and simply all around amazing jazz – I’ve seen it all there since I heard about it from my student. Please help the Jazz on View Society keep this important venue alive.
