Dear Hermann’s family.
I write you this letter from New York City, my home. For the past 15 years I have come to Victoria in the summers and have since developed quite a relationship with not only Hermann and the club, but also the wonderful people of Victoria that have shown their immense appreciation and love for the music that I and others create. Hermann’s Jazz Club has been a gift in that sense, bringing people together to share the love and joy of music.
It is indeed of most importance that Hermann’s lives on for generations to come. It is most unique to have a performance venue in a community that not only brings in world class musicians but also offers the next generation a stage to to harvest their talent and to share with the world the joy of music. Hermann’s does this and it is crucial that it remains a breeding ground of great music and music offering.
