I visited Hermann’s Jazz Club many times when I was younger, as members of my high school’s jazz band played there often. I know Hermann’s was instrumental in fostering young talent; it was also key in deepening my love of jazz. I no longer live in Victoria, but remember Hermann’s fondly, and hope it can continue to be a pillar of the Victoria Jazz scene. It is especially important to me that it was, and continues to be, an all ages venue. Thank you to the Jazz on View Society for supporting Hermann’s Jazz Club.
