As the host of a local jazz radio program in Victoria, I support the Jazz On View Society as being the only venue where local as well as touring Canadian bands have an opportunity to perform and show their craft. The loss of this venue would put a damper on the ability of Victorians to hear some of Canada’s best musicians perform. Hermann’s has hosted many great Canadian artists over the years and it would be a shame to allow this practice to cease, depriving Victorians the chance hear up and coming artists.
